Custom Pens & Promotional Writing Instruments
The writing instruments that get reordered most: Pilot, BIC, uni-ball and our own best-selling plastic and multi-function models, from $0.34 a unit with minimums from 100. If you are ordering pens and do not have a specific model in mind, this is the shortlist worth starting from rather than working through the full range.

What "best selling" actually tells you
This page is a shortlist, not a category. Everything here sells consistently across a wide spread of customers, which is useful information if you are ordering pens and do not have a specific model in mind — these are the ones that get reordered rather than the ones we happen to be promoting.
Practically, it saves you working through the full pen range. If nothing here fits, that is a signal you have a specific requirement worth telling us about rather than browsing further.
The three groups worth knowing
Recognised brands. Pilot G2, Precise V5 and V7, uni-ball 207, BIC Clic Stic and Grip Roller. People already know how these write, which removes the main risk with a promotional pen — that it writes badly and gets thrown away. They cost more per unit than an unbranded barrel and are usually worth it when the recipient is a customer.
Value workhorses. The Mardi Gras grip, the Ultra Lodger II, the Quake stylus and similar. Under a dollar, comfortable to write with, and available in enough barrel colours to match most brands. This is where the majority of bulk orders land.
Multi-function models. Pens that add a stylus or a second function. They justify a higher unit cost by being more likely to be kept, which suits smaller, more targeted runs rather than volume handouts.
Choosing between ink types
This matters more than most buyers expect, because it decides whether the pen gets used twice or two hundred times.
Ballpoint is oil-based, dries instantly, does not smudge and lasts longest. It is the safe default for handouts, and the only sensible choice if the pen might sit unused for months before someone picks it up.
Gel writes more smoothly and darker, which is why gel pens tend to become someone's everyday pen. The trade-off is a shorter working life and a slightly longer dry time.
Rollerball and liquid ink — the Precise V5 and V7 — give the cleanest line of the three and suit people who write a lot. They are the most likely to be kept and the least forgiving if left uncapped.

Best Seller Questions, Answered
What is in this range?
The writing instruments that sell most consistently: plastic pens, multi-function pens, rollerballs, gels, BIC models and retractables. If you are ordering pens and do not have a specific model in mind, this is the shortlist worth starting from.
For the full selection see our promotional pens range.
How much do these cost?
From $0.34 to $3.45 a unit before decoration, spanning bulk giveaway pens through to the multi-function models. Every product page shows its own quantity price breaks, and larger runs always bring the per-unit figure down.
What is the minimum order quantity?
From 100 units on some models up to 500 on others, set per product. The minimum for each pen is shown on its card as you browse.
What is the difference between pad printing, laser engraving and full-colour printing?
We offer all of the common imprint methods — which one is available to you depends on the pen you choose, since the barrel material and shape decide what can be decorated.
Pad printing transfers ink onto the barrel. It is the usual choice for plastic pens and simple one- or two-colour logos, and the most economical option for large giveaway runs.
Laser engraving etches your logo into a metal barrel rather than printing on top of it, so it cannot wear off. Best for executive gifts and client appreciation.
Full-colour printing reproduces gradients, photographs and complex multi-colour artwork that pad printing cannot hold.
Whichever method you end up with, keep the artwork simple — the imprint area on a pen is small. If you are unsure which suits your logo, send it over and we will advise.
Do you charge a setup fee?
Not on everything. Many of the products we carry have no setup charge at all. Where a setup charge does apply it is tied to that particular product rather than to your order as a whole, so it does not scale with how many you buy. Each product card shows whether a fee applies before you open it.
If you want this confirmed for a specific product before you order, contact us and we will tell you exactly what applies.
How fast can I get my order?
Production runs around 7 days from the point you approve your proof, plus transit time on top. Exact timing varies by product and by how it is decorated.
We do not currently offer a rush service. If you are working to an event date, contact us with your in-hands date before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable rather than let you find out late.
Will I see a proof before my order is printed?
Yes. We produce a proof on every order before anything goes into production, so you can check your logo, colours and placement before we print. Nothing is manufactured until you approve it.
