What "Made in USA" actually means on this page

It is worth being straight about this, because most promotional suppliers are not. "Made in the USA" and "Assembled in the USA" are two different claims, and both appear in this range.

Products described as made in the USA are manufactured domestically from domestic components. That covers the pocket screwdrivers in our safety and tools range, several of the larger sticky note pads, and the foam can cooler.

Products described as assembled in the USA are put together at a domestic plant from components that may be sourced elsewhere. The BIC and WideBody ballpoint pens fall into this group. That is still American manufacturing employment, and it is still a shorter supply chain than an import — but it is not the same claim, and if your reason for buying domestic is a procurement rule rather than a preference, the difference matters.

Every product page states the origin the manufacturer gave us. Where a page does not state one, we have not been told, and we would rather leave it blank than guess. Ask us and we will go back to the supplier for you.

What is in this range

Pens. The domestic pen selection is built around BIC and the WideBody family — the Clic Stic, the Round Stic, and the WideBody in grip, ice grip and colour grip finishes. These are the workhorse giveaway pens: low unit cost, a large imprint area on the WideBody barrel, and a writing feel people recognise. Prices start at $0.44 and top out at $1.65.

Sticky notes and note pads. The largest group here, running from 2" x 3" pads up to 4" x 6", in 25 and 50 sheet counts, plus a magnetic notepad that sticks to a filing cabinet or fridge. Sticky notes are the quiet performer of promotional print: they sit on a desk, get used daily, and your logo is visible on every sheet until the pad runs out. From $0.38.

Tools. Two pocket screwdrivers — a clip-on model and a reversible dual-tip — both made domestically from hardened steel. These sit in the tools and multi-tools category and suit trade, industrial and hardware audiences, where a giveaway that actually gets used beats one that gets binned.

Drinkware accessories. A 16oz foam can cooler sized for tall boy cans, which folds flat for storage and transport. See the wider foam koozie range for more options.

Minimums, setup charges and what you will pay

Minimum order quantities on this range run from 200 to 500 units, set per product rather than across the store. The minimum for each item is shown on its card as you browse this page, so you can rule things out without opening them.

Unit prices here run from $0.38 to $2.66 before decoration, and every product carries quantity price breaks — larger runs bring the per-unit figure down, and the breaks are shown on each product page so you can compare before you commit.

Most of this range carries no setup charge at all. Where a setup fee does apply it is tied to the individual product rather than to the size of your order, so it does not scale with how many you buy. Each product card shows whether a setup fee applies.

Artwork, proofs and lead times

You will see a proof on every order before anything goes into production. Nothing is manufactured until you have checked your logo, colours and placement and approved it.

Production runs around 7 days from the point you approve your proof, with transit time on top. Exact timing varies by product and decoration method. We do not currently offer a rush service, so if you are working to a fixed event date, talk to us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether your date is achievable rather than let you find out late.

Keep artwork simple. The imprint area on a pen barrel or a screwdriver handle is small, and logos that work on a banner often close up at a few millimetres tall. A single-colour version of your logo almost always reproduces better than the full-colour original. Our anatomy of a custom pen guide walks through where decoration actually lands.

Why buyers choose domestic

Three reasons come up repeatedly. Procurement rules — government agencies, military organisations and their contractors often work under domestic sourcing requirements. Supply chain length — a domestic production run has fewer points at which it can slip, which matters when you have a date to hit. Tariffs — imported promotional goods carry duty that lands in your unit price, and domestic manufacturing sidesteps it.

If none of those apply to you, our wider promotional pen range and office and desk supplies give you more styles to choose from. If one of them does, this is the page to work from.

Made in USA Promotional Products: Your Questions Answered

Are these products really made in the USA?

Most are, and we distinguish between two claims rather than blurring them. Products marked made in the USA are manufactured domestically from domestic components. Products marked assembled in the USA — which covers the BIC and WideBody pens — are put together at a domestic plant from components that may be sourced elsewhere.

The origin the manufacturer gave us is stated on each product page. Where none is stated, we have not been told, and we will go back to the supplier and confirm it for you if you ask.

Do these products meet Buy American or BAA requirements?

That depends on the specific rule you are buying under, and it is not something we can certify on your behalf. Buy American and BAA thresholds turn on domestic component percentages that vary by programme and by contract, and an "assembled in the USA" product will not always satisfy a rule that an unqualified "made in the USA" product does.

What we can do is get you the manufacturer's origin documentation for any item on this page before you commit. Send us the requirement and the products you are considering, and we will come back with what the supplier can evidence.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Minimums on this range run from 200 to 500 units, set per product rather than across the store. The pocket screwdrivers start at 200, most sticky note pads at 250 or 500, and the pens at 300 or 500.

You do not have to open a product to check — the minimum for each item is shown on its card as you browse this page, as well as on the product page itself.

Are American-made promotional products more expensive?

Not on this range. Unit prices here start at $0.38 for a sticky note pad and $0.44 for a pen, which is squarely in giveaway territory. Domestic manufacturing also avoids the import duty that lands in the unit price of comparable overseas goods, so the gap is often smaller than buyers expect.

Every product carries quantity price breaks, and the breaks are shown on the product page. Larger runs always bring the per-unit figure down.

Do you charge a setup fee?

Not on everything. Many of the products we carry have no setup charge at all. Where a setup charge does apply it is tied to that particular product rather than to your order as a whole, so it does not scale with how many you buy. Each product card shows whether a fee applies before you open it.

If you want this confirmed for a specific product before you order, contact us and we will tell you exactly what applies.

How fast can I get my order?

Production runs around 7 days from the point you approve your proof, plus transit time on top. Exact timing varies by product and by how it is decorated.

We do not currently offer a rush service. If you are working to an event date, contact us with your in-hands date before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable rather than let you find out late.

Will I see a proof before my order is printed?

Yes. We produce a proof on every order before anything goes into production, so you can check your logo, colours and placement before we print. Nothing is manufactured until you approve it.
